We have a walker..offically!!

So Abby has been really trying to walk on her own for about a month now, you know walking along the couch, the coffee table, the wall anything that will hold her up.  She also went from holding both our hands to holding just one when we walk with her.  So last week we were at Auntie Tina's and she decided she wanted to walk without any help.  She got 3-4 steps out and then she sits and crawls.  This has been happening for about a week.  Then today I got the call from my Mom...she walked 8-9 steps all by herself, without a table or couch or anyone helping!!  So we have a walker.  I can't wait to see how well she's doing when I get home from work.  I will try and get video tonight and post so everyone can enjoy!!

1990

1990!  That is the year I graduated!! Has it really been 20 years, where does the time go?  The reason why I'm talking about this is because I'm on the reunion committee and right now we are in the middle of planning things.  So one of the things we are doing is having all the graduates fill out a bio page and tell everyone what you have been up to for the past 20 years. This got me thinking, "What have I been up to in the past 20 years?" I have to say, I've done a lot!  When I look back I have no regrets with what I have done with my life. Actually I'm pretty proud of what I've done. Some good things that have happened to me are~ I became a Mom, homeowner, I opened my own business, managed a couple businesses, found the love of my life, made and kept some truly wonderful friends and lots of other little things, but too many to mention.  I've also been through quite a bit in those 20 years.  I did get married back in 1993 when I was 20, and divorced at in 2002 at 30.  This was one of the hardest times in my life, but also such a learning experience.  Like I said earlier, NO regrets!  I truly believe I had to go thru some tough times to become a better person.
So I have just about 3 months til the reunion, so it's time to start eating better, running and of course shopping!  I do need the perfect outfit for this BIG night!!

1st Mother's Day!!!!

I have been looking forward to this day for a long time and I wasn't disappointed!!  I had such a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.  It started off on Saturday morning with my Mom, my Brother and Abby doing the Race for the Cure walk.  This is such an inspiring event to attend and it was really great spending the morning with my Mom, Jimmy and Abby.  After our 3.2 mile walk we headed to Brunch at Mimi's, a nice ending to a wonderful morning.
Then later that evening we headed out to my Mom and Dad's for dinner celebrating Dad's Birthday and Mother's Day.  Jimmy and Brian made a wonderful Mexican fiesta, and of course I ate too much.  It is so nice to spend time with my family, my nieces take such good care of Abby and it gives me a little break! Here is my Mom and Dad with all the grand kids.
Then Sunday was Mother's Day.  I have been celebrating Mother's Day for my Mom for as long I can remember and have been looking forward
to celebrating myself this year. I really wanted to celebrate with just Abby and Brian, my little family!  So we decided to head to SF and go
to the Zoo.  The weather in Sacramento was cold and rainy, but in SF it was the complete opposite~sunny and perfect.  We got to the Zoo around noon and it wasn't crowded at all.  So we walked around and saw all the animals, alot were sleeping.  I guess Sunday's are lazy for animals as well.  Abby and I went on the Carousal which she loved! After the Zoo we headed over to the Beach Chalet for lunch.  I guess on Sunday's they have a BBQ with a live band out on the grass area.  So we decided to eat lunch there.  We had our camp chairs in our car from the park so it worked perfectly!  The day couldn't have been more perfect, I had such a great day.  I can't wait for my next one.
